Thank you for visiting the El Paso Sports Commission's website!

The El Paso Sports Commission is proud to be celebrating the beginning of our second year as a private entity. Our privatization from the County of El Paso in 2003 has allowed us to become more flexible and effective in our negotiations with regional and national tournament organizers and in turn, we can bring more world-class sporting events to the El Paso community.

Last year, we were proud to host or sponsor a wide variety of sporting events in El Paso that brought in a substantial amount of sports tourism dollars into our community by way of hotel rooms, rental cars, restaurants and entertainment. Some of these events include the Sun City Fall Ice Fest figure skating event, Turkey Bowl Flag Football tournament, Southwest Shoot-out basketball tournament, Slam ‘n' Jam basketball tournament, Regional Youth Circuit fencing tournament, and the Greater Texas Hockey League's varsity and junior varsity weekend tournament.

We are young, we are growing and we are proud to be able to make El Paso the number one sports tourism destination in the southwest. You can't beat our weather, our value, our sporting opportunities or our Mexican food. Most of all, you can't beat El Paso's friendliness and culture. Come experience El Paso.
